Primates: Hominidae
Homo sapiens avisvigilus
Seek birds at any well-known birding spot and you're bound to encounter Australian Birders. They're easily distinguished from the bulk of homo sapiens by the quantity and quality of lenses hanging about their persons, and many have adapted three supplementary legs for additional support.
The Australian Birder's vehicle, usually capable of driving over any terrain, will sport registration plates and/or stickers identifying the owner's avian fetishes.
Australian Birders are generally docile but should not be approached if you've just disturbed a bird they've driven five hundred kilometres to see.
